Sometimes you will hit points in life where you find yourself out of energy...
Usually at the worst of times.
That is where I find myself at this time.
I was at a comedy show last night with my spouse...
Did not get to sleep until 12:38 am...
Had to get up at 4:30 am for an event...
And did not get home until 7:00 pm.
I was outside most of the day, in the heat, carrying weights.
Overall, a good day, but exhausting.
And...
I still had work to do.
But here is the question...
How do you get work done when you have no energy left?
How do some people always seem to make progress...
While others always seem to get stuck and struggle to make progress?
What I can tell you is that it has nothing to do with the amount of energy that one has.
Especially in today's world, many people find themselves with low energy.
So if it is not the amount of energy...
What is it?
It is how you decide to use what you have...
Specifically, making the choice to make some progress...
Consistently.
This is where people go wrong, though...
So many people think that it is about the amount of work...
And they decided whether or not to do work...
Based on how much they believe they can or cannot do in a day.
If they believe that they cannot do "enough" work in a day...
They do not do work.
But, the problem with this is that the Result is that...
Due to having many days of low energy over time...
You will fail to make progress consistently.
Instead...
You need to have a minimum.
It is an amount of work that you can do on any day...
With whatever amount of time you have left...
At any energy level you may find yourself.
It may not "feel" like a lot...
But a lot of small and consistent efforts build up...
Very quickly.
Suddenly...
If you always do a minimum...
Or more...
You will make "significantly" more progress than most people even imagine is possible...
Not because it is not possible...
But because most people sabotage their own success by believing the lie that whatever efforts they can give are "not enough".
Small progress...
Every day...
