When you decide to go for incredibly tough Goals in life, some things are Inevitable.
One of those things is that, at some point, you will feel Lost.
Completely and Utterly Lost.
You will be making great Strides and Progress towards the Goals, feeling Amazing at how things are going, and then suddenly.
Blank.
You'll look around Unsure of What is Next.
You will Not Know What Move to make Next.
You will Not Know What Direction to Go In.
The Various Things in front of you will all Feel Hazy and Uncertain.
There may be Multiple Paths and None of them are Clear.
You may reach a point where there are No Paths at all and taking a Step "Anywhere" other than Backwards is Untouched.
When most people Feel Lost like this, their Natural Tendency is similar.
Fear.
Panic.
Sometimes it causes people to Sprint into the Unknown with Full Abandon (Occasionally Off a Cliff).
Others Completely Freeze... waiting... waiting... waiting...
For what?
They are unsure, but they continue to wait.
Then there are some who begin calling out for Help.
Sometimes the calls go unheard.
Other times charlatans call out making promises they never planned to keep.
Or, when the Fear and Panic set in, there are those who simply return back to wherever they came from.
But are any of these the Right Reactions to have when you Feel Lost?
Or is there a Different Way?
Well, the First thing to Realize and Understand is that when your Goals are Large, it is Normal to Feel Lost at times.
Some people Feel Lost Frequently.
Know that it is Alright to Feel Lost.
Truly, it is an Indicator of Progress.
If you always "Know" Exactly Where You Are, then you are Stuck in a Small Place.
Growth only happens in the Unknown, and in the Unknown You "Will" Feel Lost.
If your Goals are Large, You Must Grow to Attain them.
It is all a part of the Cycle.
Know that it is Alright that You Current Feel Lost because it Means You're on the Right Path.
Also Know that it is Alright to Feel Panic and Fear.
These are Emotions, and just as All Emotions, are Healthy to Feel.
However, there is a Difference between Feeling the Emotion, and Allowing the Emotion to Control You.
Emotions make Wonderful Advisors.
On the other hand, Emotions make Horrible Masters.
Instead of Running, Freezing, Becoming Desperate, or Giving Up which are all Reactions of the Horrible Emotional Master, do something Different.
Discover Why You Feel Panic and Fear.
Both Panic and Fear sprout from the Same Challenge.
Something is Missing.
But what "Specifically" are you Missing in the Moments that Panic and Fear make themselves known?
It might be that you are Missing Knowledge Needed to Proceed.
Or perhaps the Challenge is that you are Missing Resources.
You may also discover that the Current Goal is Missing a Key Strategy to Proceed.
All of these and more are Possible, but you'll Never Discover Which if you allow Fear or Panic to Control You.
First, acknowledge the Fear and Panic, and even Thank it for Notifying you that something is Missing.
Then, Determine what is Needed to Proceed.
Answers may come Quickly.
Answers may come Slowly.
Paths may be Chosen that Work Out.
Paths may be Chosen that Fail.
All of these are a part of the Path toward Large Goals.
However, we get Better Answers More Frequently when our Emotions Do Not Control Us.
The Paths come Easier when "We" Decide Instead of When Our Emotions Decide.
This is how we Navigate the Feeling of Being Lost.
