What Most People Fail To Understand About AI - Why It Will Not Replace Humans But Where It Will Be Extremely Beneficial (And Where It Will Not)

Usually when I Write About AI...

It is Not Positive.

Why?

Most of How People are Utilizing AI...

Especially in Large Companies...

Is Idiotic.

There is a Lot of Talk about AI Being Able to "Replace" Humans...

But when we Look at Human Potential Compared to AI...

Based on Psychophysiology...

There has Not Been "Any" Convincing Evidence of this Being True.

Here's the Deal...

Will AI Replace Humans?

No.

Will AI Replace "Jobs" that Humans Currently Work?

Yes.

But this is What is Important to Understand about this Statement...

AI will Replace Jobs that are Actually "Far" Below Human Potential...

Or are Not Being Done to Human Potential...

At Least the "Current" Version of these Jobs.

The Classic Example that I would Put Here is the Role of CEO.

I Know that this May Sound "Counter-Intuitive" to Say that the Role of CEO is "Below Human Potential"...

But it is the Truth...

At Least How the Role of CEO is Done in "Most" Organizations Today.

Most of Today's CEO's are Utilizing an Old, Outdated Model of Business that has Been "Systematized" where the "Results" are "Obtained"...

But are Based on Misunderstandings of How the Business Environment Works.

The Result is that You have CEOs Who actually Do "Nothing" to Improve the Business...

Yet are "Rewarded" Due to what is Known as the "Cult of the CEO".

It is Actually Worse, because "Most" of the Tools Utilized in the "CEO Playbook" are "Extremely" Detrimental to the Health of the Business Over the Long-Term...

Which is what has Contributed to what I call "Zombie Businesses" and the Rise of what others have called the "Rot Economy".

But the "Reason" that CEOs who Operate by this Playbook Can Easily be Replaced by AI...

Is because they Do Not Do Anything "Innovative" Themselves.

They have a Repetitive Playbook that Does Not Offer Anything "New" or "Different"...

Which is How it has Become "Systemized"...

And AI can Easily Replicate Things that Are Repetitive and Systemized.

So if Your Role Primarily Consists of You Looking in a Book and Calling Out the Play that the Book Recommends...

Like Most of Today's CEOs, much of the C-Suite, and Many "Outside Consultants" such as your McKinseys...

Then AI will be Able to Replace You.

Of Course, You Need to Train the AI well, with Good and Legitimate Data, to be Able to Do this "Well" and "Consistently"...

But AI is Great at this Type of Work.

However, this is Where "Most" People Fail to Understand AI...

Especially in the C-Suite...

AI is Not Good at What Humans Can Do...

When Humans are Pushing Into their "Potential".

The Way that "Many" Jobs are Run Today is Really "Not" Pushing Humans into their Potential.

Most Jobs are...

Jobs...

Repetitive...

Unstimulating...

Requiring Little Problem-Solving...

And Once Knowledge is Gained...

Really Does Not Change.

One of the Reasons that Most Leaders "Struggle" with Innovation is that it is Not "Taught" to Most People...

Including Leaders Themselves...

Otherwise, the CEOs and C-Suite "Leaders" who are "Demanding" Innovation would Do It Themselves.

But the Honest Truth is that They "Cannot" Do It Themselves...

Because They are Trapped in their Systematic Roles...

Which Forces them to Rely On "Others" Who "Are" Innovative.

Except...

Leaders' Decisions are Either "Causing" Burnout...

Which "Directly" Interferes with the Psychophysiology that Allows for Innovation to Occur...

Or...

Leaders' Decisions are Driving Truly Innovative People "Out" of their Industry...

As We are Seeing, and I Discussed Yesterday with Amazon.

The Result...

Is that these Types of "Leaders" are Unable to Gain Innovation in their Organizations...

And are At Risk of Being Replaced by AI because "They" Themsevles are Not Innovative.

However, AI is Also Really Bad at Connecting Ideas or Problems from Seemingly Different Places.

The Types of Problems and Ideas that are "Not" Ordinary.

When it Comes to Problem-Solving, AI is Really Bad at what We Call "Wisdom" that is Gained from Experience with "Specific" Occurrences within a System.

AI is Great at Recurring and Unspecific Problems that Happen...

But Not at the Strange and Odd Problems that Rarely Occur, that are Often Caused by Small Aspects of Specific Systems that Most People "Rarely" Encounter...

Except the People who "Deeply" Understand the Systems.

AI is also Terrible at Generating Truly Innovative and Novel Ideas from Seemingly Disparate Areas of Knowledge.

I'd Know because I've Tested this Extensively with Scientific Research in AI, and it has Overwhelmingly Produced Mediocre to Horrible, Potentially Life-Threatening Results.

Why?

AI Does Not "Inherently" have the Ability to "Read Between The Lines".

It Can Only Read "Exactly" What You Tell It to Read.

The Obvious Problem Here is that "Most" People Do Not Know "How" to Ask the Right Questions for True Innovation to Occur...

And the Vast Majority of What AI is Taught is Based on...

Human Mediocrity...

Repeated Misinformation...

And Purposefully Skewed Data.

So, Even if You "Do" Attempt to Replace Most Positions with AI...

They Will Be Acting Based on these Factors...

And If the Humans "Behind" the AI Do Not Know "How" to Ask the Right Questions to Create Innovation...

AI will Not Do it for them.

The Result is that How Most Companies are Attempting to Use AI will Backfire Terribly...

Not Yet even Accounting for All of the "Hallucinations" that AI Still has Today.

But Again...

Most People are "Not" Operating within their Potential...

Over 80% of the Workforce is "In" Burnout, which "Actively" Prevents them from Operating in their Potential.

So...

If you Combined AI's Strengths...

Of Quickly Processing Data and Doing Extremely Repetitive Processes...

With Human Potential...

Of Innovation and Problem-Solving...

You Could Create a Really Powerful Combination.

But...

This will Only Occur on Two Conditions.

The Humans "Must" Be Operating in the Human Potential...

In Reality...

Not in Vague "Theory"...

Not on Buzzwords...

Not on Misleading Science and Health.

Then the AIs "Must" Be Trained on "Useful" Information...

Not Skewed Data...

Not Misinformation...

Not Mediocrity.

If Leaders and Organizations are Not Following these Two Conditions...

Which Most "Clearly" are Not in Today's World...

Then their AI Efforts and Organizational Goals will Ultimately Fail.

We are Already Starting to See this Occur in Business Today.

That is Why We are Starting to See and Hear "More" about Fears around AI from Business Leaders and Investors.

They are Starting to See the Limitations of AI...

And it is Forcing them to Reconsider their Ideas of How their Organizations or Investments will be Impacted by AI.

However, if You "Are" Able to Meet the Two Conditions...

It Could Lead to Faster Innovations and Growth for Organizations.

But...

AI Will Not Replace Humans...

At Least...

Not Humans Who are Living in their True Psychophysiological Potential.
