They say that All Life is Struggle.
As you go through Life, You Will Face Conflict.
What does this make You?
One who is Engaged in Struggle and Conflict is a Warrior.
But the question you must ask yourself is What Kind of Warrior are You?
What is the Struggle you want to Overcome?
What is the Conflict that you Seek a Resolution to?
There are, of course, those who Risk their Lives and Struggle against those who Seek to Intentionally Do Harm to Others.
They are a Warrior of War.
But this is Not the Only type of Warrior that exists.
There are those who are Warriors for those without Voices.
This could be your Climate Warriors.
Or perhaps a Warrior for the Poor.
Then there are those who are Warriors against Businesses and Corporations who Use and Abuse their Employees and Customers.
This is an area that I often speak about in my work.
Many of the types of Warriors I've discussed so far could be classified as "External Warriors".
Their Struggles and Conflicts within these classifications are Focused Externally.
It is Natural and Normal to have External Struggles.
There is another type of Warrior though.
Internal Warriors.
This, perhaps, is Nuanced.
There are many Struggles Internally.
Many Conflicts that Occur.
There are the Physical Struggles we Face.
The Ability to Lift More.
Run Further.
Become Faster.
Or to Overcome.
When the Body Breaks Down.
Burns Out.
When things Break.
But there are Many More Types of Internal Warriors as well.
Warriors of Diet.
Warriors of the Heart.
Warriors of the Mind.
Warriors of Safety and Security.
Warriors of Emotions.
Warriors of Calm.
Warriors of Peace.
Each of these has different Strengths and Weaknesses.
The Struggles are Often Different, yet Interrelated.
When Safety and Security are Threatened it Impacts the Mind.
When Calm is Broken it Impacts Emotions.
When Diet is Not Nutritious, Peace is Difficult.
These Struggles are also Interrelated Outside of Us.
Failures of Internal Peace often Create Wars.
Wars will Threaten Safety and Security.
Failures in Climate lead to Food Shortages.
Each is Connected.
These are Not Separate.
The Internal Reflects the External.
The External Reflects the Internal.
Nations at War.
Nations that are Sick.
Businesses where Leaders and Employees Fight.
All are Reflections of Both.
We have Many Struggles and Conflicts.
They exist across the World.
Throughout Every Corner.
Not a Single Place is Exempt that I know of.
No matter Where You Turn.
You Will Find Struggle.
You Will Find Conflict.
It is Not a Question of "If", but a Matter of "What Kind"?
But Do Not be Too Quick.
Most people try to Find Immediate Solutions.
Usually, they Completely Fail.
Why?
You must First Understand the Struggles.
You must Know the Conflicts at Play.
When you look for the Immediate Solution, it is like trying to Fix Everything with only a Hammer.
Are Hammers Useful?
Yes.
Can they Solve Problems?
Yes.
But are they "Always" the Right Tool?
No.
When you Try to Solve All Problems with a Hammer, You Miss the Interconnections.
When you Miss This, most people make Aspects Worse.
Just take the Return-To-Office Mandates.
Why do "None" of the Solutions Leaders Present Persuade Employees?
Well, if you are Pessimistic, you'll likely Say it is because the Leaders are Lying, Hiding their "True" Intentions.
That is Possible.
Some Leaders Seem to Believe these Mandates will Lower Layoffs.
At least, Not Significantly.
If you are More Optimistic, you'll see that the Leaders are Failing to see the Interconnections of different Struggles.
Leaders are Failing to see the Struggle of Poverty.
Leaders are Failing to see the Struggle of Burnout.
Leaders are Failing to see the Important Metrics.
Instead they Focus on Vanity Metrics, like Time-In-Office.
The Leaders Fail to see How these Decrease Productivity.
The Leaders Fail to see How these Decrease Innovation.
It's a Recipe for Disaster.
Instead of a Valid Solution, they Create Further Conflict.
Employees Quiet Quit.
Employees Strike.
Some go for Full Insubordination.
Either way, the Struggles and Conflicts are Made Worse.
To Solve the Challenges, we must See the Connections.
The Internal to the External.
The External to the Internal.
However, there is another Piece to this Puzzle.
Are you Engaged in the Conflict or Struggle?
These will happen Regardless.
Conflict Happens.
Struggle Happens.
No one is Exempt.
Yet, Not Every Engages.
Many throw their Hands Up.
Lie Flat on the Ground.
Give Up.
Become Slaves to Others.
We Must Engage with the Conflict and Struggle if we Hope to be Victorious.
If we Hope for Life to Improve.
If you Fail to Engage, you Fail to Live Life.
Life still "Happens", but you Become a Victim.
This, perhaps, is a Worse Fate than to Lose Against the Conflicts and Struggles.
So, I Encourage You, Stand Up and Engage.
Life "Needs" More Warriors who Fight for what is Right.
To Fight for what is Good.
Who Overcome the Struggles.
Who End the Conflicts.
What Type of Warrior Are You?
