What was it that Leaders were Facing?
Not just in Theory.
In Practice.
In Reality.
What was Causing Leaders to Fail so Consistently?
What was Causing Burnout?
What was Making It Worse?
Last Year Burnout was sitting at a Record High.
80% of the Workforce.
This Year it is Worse.
Which is Pretty Terrible because Burnout Decimates Productivity.
Individual Burnout Drops our Productivity Potential Down to 5%.
Group Burnout?
No One has done the Research to Measure It.
You Really Do Not Need To...
We can See Clearly that it Becomes Exponentially Worse.
I was seeing all of these Problems without Solutions.
The "Solutions" that were being Proposed ended up Not Working.
I Kept Asking...
Why?
So I went Further and Further.
I began to Dive More and More Deeply into Psychophysiology.
I was finding, more and more that this is where the Problems Began.
All the "Solutions" Failed to Go Far Enough to the Root Causes.
So, I went Further.
I've Received Over 15 Certifications in Different Complex Aspects of our Psychophysiology Requiring Years of Research and Practice to Understand.
This is where I began to Develop Sageship and the Four Brain Systems Theory.
Why has Psychology been Failing to Help Leaders?
Despite the Obvious Power of Our Brains?
It has to do with the Other Three "Brains" of the Brain System.
It is the ANS-Wer that Leaders were Looking For.
Now, ANS is the Scientific Acronym for the Autonomic Nervous System.
It is where the other Three "Brains" are Housed.
You can Break the ANS down.
Neurocardiology, or the Study of the Heart-Brain, works through the CANS or the Cardiac Autonomic Nervous System.
Neurogastroenterology, or the Study of the Gut-Brain, works through the ENS or the Enteric Nervous System.
Finally, there is the Combination of the Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) and Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS) which I Simply call the Nervous System for Ease.
Each of these Different Parts of the ANS has Neurons that Think in their Own Ways.
Different Ways.
They Communicate and Act in their Distinct Ways.
Each can Take Over our Actions if they Deem Necessary.
This is Why Leaders have been having Such Deep Problems.
Their Brain in their Head may be Brilliant...
But they are Sabotaged by At Least One of the other Brain Systems in the ANS.
Now, within the ANS, I have done a Lot of Research from Many Different Perspectives.
There are a Lot of wonderful individuals who have discovered some Amazing Things in the Working of these Different Systems.
Individuals whose work I've had to Connect to Understand the Bigger Picture.
There is also a Lot of Misinformation which has made it Difficult to Find the Truth.
Perhaps the Most Interesting aspect of the ANS, however, is the Nervous System itself.
What makes it Fascinating is that it Acts both as a Brain System and as a Communication Highway for the Other Brain Systems.
This Entire System is Extremely Underappreciated.
When it is Working, it is Incredibly Powerful at Keeping Us Alive and Safe.
But when it is Not Working?
Chaos.
Communication Does Not Get Through Correctly throughout the Brain Systems.
Panic Signals are Sent Off Too Early, Too Frequently, and at Irrelevant Times.
Energy (Mg-ATP) Flows in Incorrect Directions causing the Needed Energy for Functions to get to Places Late...
If The Energy Ever Gets There At All.
This Causes Energy to become Wasted and the Body Must Discover Inefficient Ways to Continue Forward.
Where this becomes Even More Relevant for Leaders is that the ANS is a Large Portion of Why there are So Many Challenges that Leaders Face Today.
Why Burnout has been Spreading so Quickly.
It Helps Explain Why Everyone is On Edge and the Workplace is in Turmoil.
Most People Do Not Understand what the ANS Does.
They Do Not Do Anything to Improve the ANS.
Even when they "Do", They Rarely Know "Which" Part of the ANS is Causing the Issues...
Or More Likely the Parts, Plural.
This is something that I want to See Changed.
