One Area Where Most Leaders Fail - That Turns Them Into A Relic

To become a leader within an industry...

Any industry...

It requires you to become exceptional at what you do.

There are different terms for this...

Such as an expert...

But whatever you call it, you must work hard to get to that level.

And...

Once you get to that level...

There is an expectation that you become the person that everyone turns to when things get difficult.

However...

Over the years, I have watched many people rise up...

Only to crash down.

Hard.

Becoming seen as nothing more than a fossil or relic.

How does that happen, though?

What changes?

In many cases, it is quite simple...

They stop doing what got them to the top...

Especially...

Taking time to learn.

Whether we accept it or not...

The world changes...

Adapts...

Innovates...

Grows.

But not all people decide to do the same for themselves.

They get into a routine...

And stay in that routine...

But neglect the fact that life continues to change.

The inevitable result of this is twofold.

One...

They clearly miss the new opportunities that begin to appear.

But secondly...

And significantly worse...

Is unintentional decay.

In life, there is no such thing as true stagnation...

Where "nothing" happens.

There is growth...

And there is decay.

But what most people fail to understand...

Is that growth only happens when we are intentional about it...

Decay is something that happens by default.

When we fail to grow...

We begin to decay.

It is through that decay...

Where most leaders begin to fail.

They become so caught up in the expectations and problem-solving in the day-to-day...

That they miss their long-term need to grow...

And become relegated to the past.

Do not allow yourself to fall into this trap.
