Written by a human, for humans, always.
Every path to success requires a plan...
But not every plan leads to success.
Now...
There is a progression that most people go through when it comes to plans.
It often goes...
Plan....
Enact the plan...
Failed plan...
New plan.
Then occasionally you may see a plan succeed...
For a while...
Then begin to fail again...
Leading back to the new plan.
But...
What if this is the wrong strategy?
What if...
The original plan...
Did not actually fail?
What if what was perceived as failure...
Was not truly a failure?
Let me give you an example of what I mean...
Say you start a new diet...
Your diet before was filled with refined and processed carbs and artificial sugars...
What they call the "Modern American Diet" or "Standard American Diet" (M.A.D. or S.A.D.).
You switched over to only healthy carbs, lots of good fats, and clean proteins.
You would expect...
That you would lose weight from the diet change...
But after a month, you discover that no weight has been lost.
Did your plan fail?
Is it time to try a different type of diet that is perhaps more extreme?
Well...
The truth is that the M.A.D. or S.A.D. was likely a large problem...
So the truth is that the diet is likely succeeding...
Just not how you had hoped.
There could be 3 other factors (that are not limited to diet) which could be at play as well...
Which could explain why your plan was right...
But you haven't gotten the results you're looking for.
What are those factors?
The first is timing.
All change requires a period of time before true results can be determined.
In this situation...
If you have been eating a M.A.D. or S.A.D. for a long period of time...
There is a high likelihood that your mitochondria's ability to use fat for fuel has been damaged...
And your body needs to adjust...
Which, depending on the extent of the damage...
Could take a few months.
The plan has not failed...
It just needs more time to see the results.
What is another factor that could be at play?
There could be a hidden factor...
One that is sabotaging the results that you are expecting to achieve.
For instance...
Perhaps the food that you are eating has healthy-sounding claims on it...
But the claims are just marketing terms rather than actually being healthy.
Sadly, this is vastly more common than most people realize.
Things like "Heart-healthy" are, in fact, just marketing terms and are not healthy for your heart...
Or "Low-fat" often means that a synthetic or artificial replacement is utilized, which is actually significantly more harmful for humans.
The diet did not fail...
There was a hidden factor of being tricked by marketing terms that do not reflect reality...
So you never actually did the diet.
What is the third factor that could be at play?
There could be a new factor that was introduced that was not part of the original situation.
For instance...
Perhaps you got a new job, with a new schedule, and more stress.
All of this could create interactions with your circadian rhythm and cortisol levels...
Which may be putting your body into a physiological state...
Where it is unable to lose weight as easily.
It is not the diet that failed...
It was the new factor that changed the entire situation.
Now, this is what is important to take away...
Most people believe their plans fail...
And immediately start making a brand new plan...
Throwing away everything from their original plan...
Without ever really knowing...
Whether their plan was truly failing...
Or...
Whether one of the other three factors simply was at play...
And if they had been accounted for...
Would have allowed the plan to succeed.
Do not be so quick to believe that a plan has failed...
Without investigating other factors that could be impacting the plan.
