I've Been Doing some Interesting Nervous System work with one of my Clients.
The Results?
Truly Incredible.
Far More than I Imagined Could Happen within the Time We've Had So Far.
More Incredible Still because...
I've Been Working Largely on Theory.
Everything has been More than Safe, with No Contraindications at Play and Paying Close Attention to the Client's Health Stats, so We're Not talking about "Mad Scientist" kinds of Nonsense of Theory.
Rather, there are some Incredibly "Specific" Circumstances with this Client that the Nervous System Work has not been Well Tested on a Population with those Circumstances.
This is Mostly because the Population this Client is in is Overall Untested within Nervous System Work as a Whole...
Mixed with the Fact that Nervous System Work is a Relatively Young Field, making Funding for this Specific Type of Research Deeply Lacking.
But, by Looking at "Adjacent" Populations, I have Theorized the Types of Results that Could be Possible...
And It Appears that I've Been Right...
Or at the Very Least, I'm On the Right Track.
The Results We've Been Seeing Match the Theory of What I Believed Would Happen...
Extraordinarily, Results have also Occurred Faster than I Imagined Possible...
Though with "Plenty" of Work Still Needed.
But here's the Thing...
I'm Only "Part" of the Way through My Theory.
I have More Steps within this Theory, which I Believe could Create Further Results...
Perhaps Faster.
Now, it would be "Very" Simple for me to Take the Fact that I've Been Getting the Results I've Been Expecting...
And Push Forward.
The Problem with This?
Well, there could potentially be Many Problems.
Just because I "Seem" to be Right to "This" Point Does Not Make Me Correct About "Everything".
I am Only "Far" too Aware of my Own Faults as a Human to Know that there could be Things I've Missed or Overlooked.
If I were to "Go" Immediately...
I could Risk Not Only the Results that have been Achieved...
But also Negatively Impact the Client.
All because I Failed to Do My Due Diligence...
And in these Scenarios, there is often Ego that is at Play.
Instead of Doing This Though...
I am Leaning into Interdependence.
What Does This Mean?
As Humans, We Function Best when We Work "With" Others.
When We Combine Our Strengths and Our Experiences Together.
When We Look at Multiple Perspectives instead of Relying Solely On Our Own.
Even if You are the Absolutely "Best" in the World at Something...
It is Always Good to have Other Perspectives.
Peers.
Cross-Industry or Cross-Speciality Associates.
Fresh Perspectives from Individuals who May See the World in Different Ways.
This is Why the Best Minds often Surround Themselves with Students...
It is Not "Just" to Teach the Students...
But because, Simultaneously, the Students "Challenge" the Best Minds to See the World in New and Different Ways...
And this is Assuming You Actually "Are" the Best.
If You're Not, then You can Gain Access to those Who "Are" the Best...
And Perhaps Gain Insights from Them...
While Simultaneously Giving them New Insights.
Which is What I'm Doing for this Client.
I am Reading Other Theories and Potential Avenues to Help this Client.
I am Checking In with My Mentors on Specific Modalities to See if My Thinking Makes Sense or if There are Other Avenues They Might Consider.
I am Paying Close Attention to the Results that this Client is Obtaining to Make Sure that We Continue to Make Progress Forward.
I am Making Sure that I Do My Due Diligence.
I Know that "I" Become Better by Leaning Into My Networks of Interdependence.
By Linking In to the Strengths of Others and Getting Insights from Them, I have a Better Opportunity to Help My Client Succeed.
Which is What is Most Important at the End of the Day.
Always Make Sure to Lean Into the Power of Interdependence and Do Your Due Diligence.
