Today is Valentine's Day.
A Day that is Dedicated to the Concept Of Love...
At least in Theory.
Of course, in Practice, Commercialism has turned the Holiday into some Strange Pageantry that Fails to Access the True Power of Love.
Often Filled with Demonstrations and Lavish Tributes to others designed to make others on Social Media Jealous.
Now, there's nothing wrong with Partaking in these happenings.
I have too.
I bought my wonderful spouse a bouquet of flowers and her favorite chocolates.
I may have slipped a few other gifts as well.
She bought me 2 Board Games and Nerds Clusters which I'm very excited about.
However, what we should get to today is that during this holiday, and throughout the entirety of the year...
We usually get Love Wrong.
This, in turn, prevents us from Accessing the True Power of Love that Exists.
How?
Well, how do Most People Treat Love?
You can hear it in how People talk about Love.
They have an Expectation to Receive.
An Expectation of Gifts.
An Expectation of Touch.
An Expectation of Services.
An Expectation of Words.
An Expectation of Time.
Now, these are Not Inherently Bad, don't get me wrong.
These are all aspects of what is Known as the "Five Love Languages".
But when we "Expect" to Receive these things, We Lose the Power that Exists in Love.
Why?
When we Lead with the Expectation of Something, we are also usually trying to "Fill" a Void Inside of Us.
We have that Expectation "Because" We are Expecting, often Subconsciously, Someone Else to Fill the Void that Exists.
Except, they are Unable to.
That Void can Never be Filled by Another Person.
So, it becomes like a Black Hole.
Always Taking.
Never Ending.
What is Missing is Still Missing.
We Lose the Power of Love.
So, where does the Power of Love Begin?
It Always Begins Internally.
It Starts with Self-Love.
The Reason Others are Unable to "Fill" that Void is because It can "Only" be Filled By You.
Self-Love is the Beginning of "All" Powerful Love.
You can think of it like a Sun or Star.
The Sun and Stars Generate Energy and Send It Out through the Galaxy.
The Self-Love Fills Us and then can Grow and become Expressed as Outward Love.
Through Our Strengths.
Through Our Recognition of the Beautiful and Wonderful Parts of Others.
Through Our Desire to Help Those We Care For.
Through Our Ability to Creatively Express what Exists within Us.
Now, I want to throw in a Word of Caution Here...
Just because the Power of Love begins with the Self, and is meant to be Sent Out...
You Must Still Be Wary.
If you are a Sun or Star and you give to a Black Hole...
What Happens?
The Black Hole may Keep Taking and Taking until You have Nothing Left.
The Sun or Star Dies, and Becomes a Black Hole.
That is Not Healthy.
This is Not the True Power of Love Either.
But, We Must begin with Self-Love to Access the True Power of Love.
So, what is Next?
The True Power of Love is what happens when Individuals who have Self-Love, that Radiates Outwardly, come Together.
In Any Form of Relationship.
Romantic.
Familial.
Friendship.
Even in Business.
The Love that is Expressed can become Looped between the Participants.
You can Imagine this like a Generator.
Self-Love Fills the Individuals with Everything They Need.
This Grows and becomes Outwardly Expressed and is Enhanced through Unexpected Reciprocation.
The Excess Energy Created is Passed Back and Forth, Improving both Individuals.
It becomes an Infinite Generator.
This Generator Continues to Grow and Impact Everything Around.
The Generator can also Loop More and More People Together.
This is what we see with Well Functioning Families and Strong Teams.
Each Individual Contributes their Best Aspects to the Infinite Generator.
The Infinite Generator Grows as New Strengths and Individuals Come Together in Mutual Sharing of their Expressions of Self-Love.
This then becomes the True Power of Love.
A Massive Generator of Potential.
Shared Between Suns and Stars.
Where Limitless Energy is Created.
This is Not Something that can be Limited to a Singular Day.
It is an Expression to be Created Every Day.
This is the True Power of Love.
