When you dedicate yourself to Writing An Article Every Day, you know you'll encounter some challenges.
I'm facing one of those Challenges Today.
Now, you'd think that perhaps the biggest Challenge would be Having "Something" to Write about Daily.
I understand Why you would think that, and when you Start Writing Daily you will encounter days like that.
But you'll Discover something along the Way.
Finding things to Write about actually is Not that Difficult as long as you continue to Input more Material that you're Interested in Writing About.
For Me, I Read about Leadership Topics, and how Psychophysiology Impacts Humans, and then figure out how that can Relate to Leadership.
I also read a lot of Tech which often plays into Leadership as well.
There are Many Things I "Can" Write about today.
I've been thinking about Writing about Jassy's Decision to Force Employees into the Office 5 Days a Week, despite the Overwhelming Evidence that it is a Stupid Decision that will Backfire (and the Likely "True" Reason He's Making this Decision which is still a Poor Decision).
I have also been thinking about a new Techo-Dystopian Image of Horror that has been brought to my Attention with AI and relating it with Necromancy and Alchemy.
That'll be Wild whenever I decide to Write it.
I could Write about any Number of Fascinating Psychophysiological Processes that occur in the body and how they Impact Leadership, often in ways we would Never Imagine.
All of these things I enjoy writing about.
Many of my articles are Very Helpful for Leaders and those who are Seeking Peak Performance.
The Difficulty really is Not Finding Something to Write About.
More Often the Difficulty is Not Having a "Desire" to Write about the Many Things You "Could" Write About.
It Does Not Matter that You Enjoy Writing About the Topics.
It Does Not Matter that It Is Meaningful to You.
It Does Not Matter that It Has Purpose in the World.
Regardless of All of these Truths, there will still be some days when you just Do Not "Feel" Like Writing About Them.
In Fact, You May Not Want to Write About Anything At All.
That is how I'm Feeling Today.
There could be a Wide Variety of Factors Involved in this.
It could be You Didn't Sleep Well the Night Before.
You may "Feel" Like You Slept Badly even if Technology Tells You Otherwise.
Both my WHOOP Device and Garmin Watch told me I got Good Recovery, even though I Do Not "Feel" like I Did.
It could be That You Had a Rough or Busy Day Overall.
There are some days when Your Energy (Mg-ATP) is Low.
I have been in the Car most of the Day running from one errand to the next.
There will be some days when you have No Motivation.
This could be in combination with the above Factors, or on its own.
Then there are of course the days where you get Bad News about things happening.
Indeed, today I got word that my Grandfather was rushed to the hospital due to some complications (Luckily, it sounds like the situation has gotten better).
You may have Great Reasons for Not Wanting to Write.
You may Not have Any Reason for Not Wanting to Write, and that happens too.
But here's the thing.
You Write Anyways.
You may not "Want" to, but that's beside the point.
Why?
There is the Reason that You are a Pro and Not an Amateur.
Amateurs allow their Feelings to Dictate what they Do.
Pros do it because They Get It Done, Period.
There is another Reason that I Believe is "More" Important though.
You Never Know What Article Will Be Needed, When.
There have been "Many" Times when I Wrote an Article when I didn't "Feel" Like It, and I didn't "Love" What I Wrote.
Yet, I got people who would say things like, "Wow, you have No Idea how much I Needed this Today."
That is Why You Do It.
Today's Article might be the One that Somebody Needed in Their Life.
For what Purpose?
You'll likely Never Know.
But you also Do Not Need to Know.
Simply Understanding that this "Could" be the Article is Why You Do It.
It may be Difficult, Sure.
But You Get It Done Anyways.
Carpe Punctum.
Seize The Moment.
Seize "This" Moment.
